Live From The Studio

Supporting the local community

Our service is supported almost wholly by the local community, and we aim to encourage local participation at every turn. We will keep our fingers on the pulse of the local community, and we aim to keep our listeners informed of all that’s going on in the local area and beyond.

Stirling City Radio is a volunteer-run, participatory radio station, broadcasting on the internet from our base in centre of Stirling. Stirling City Radio first broadcast on 1 August 2016 from a café in the Stirling Arcade before moving to new purpose-built studios owned and operated by Stirling Community Media ( ), within the Creative Stirling hub at 44 King Street.

Over the next few years

Our Board of Trustees are working towards

  • Becoming a Digital Audio Broadcast (DAB) station so you can listen to us anywhere.
  • Creating employability courses based on radio broadcasting and production skills.
  • Becoming a voice for young and local artists and performers.
  • Supporting voluntary organisations by promoting their work in communities.
